Yeah, I think students should know how to use it. Interesting fact is that many grown up people don’t know how to properly so I would really like to see that students are properly educated on this topic because if they mis-use it, they have very less resources to recover it because mainly they’re studying and their earning from part-time jobs are the ones which covers their daily expenses etc.
Couldn’t you just have them calculate the interest rate by the amount of interest you were paying? It should be obvious enough if the difference is that big and they should have some record of finance charges billed.
